Training for and racing ultras is tough as hell. But also, it is joy. Far, far more joy. Finding the best version of myself through pain, the daily grind, and holding on to hope in the face of struggle. When I think of ultra racing in the context of life, death and all that is in between - my motivation shifts from results, to embracing how running ultras forces me to confront what truly matters. And in that space. I find joy.
